So, here are my 7 things.......
1) I recently quit teaching. The decision wasn't completely up to me, but in the end it worked out great and I have enjoyed being home with my son since.
2) I guess you can say I am somewhat of a loner. I have few very good friends but those that are my friends know they can count on me for anything.
3) I love helping others. I love to teach new things to people or help them get through difficult times. I find my greatest accomplishments have been when I have helped others do something they thought they couldn't.
4) I love the water. I would love to have a house on a lake. I grew up spending summers at Lake Winnepasaukee in NH. Nothing better than the sound of water to calm you.
5) I love to read. I have always liked to read before I could go to sleep and I still do. Favorite authors: Dean Koontz, James Paterson, John Grisham, Danielle Steele, and Nora Roberts.
6) My best friend= my mom. She's the only one I have come to truly know I can count on for anything. We have shared some tough times together. I wish that I was as strong of a person as she is.
7) I have been on a search to find me again. Not teaching, becoming a mom, things have really changed. I'm not sure what the future holds but I'd love to become part of the adoption world, helping families through the process. I'd also love to build on the small group of fellow adopting families that have come together in CT. Our adoption journey has certainly changed me and I'd love to help others through their journies to becoming families.
